Kate Slezak works under the vast umbrella of interdisciplinary artist, supplied with a strong background in contemporary dance, choreography, and somatic practice. She extends her body-oriented perspective to mediums of film, installation, writing, and image. A conceptual framework of post-structuralism and new materialism study supports her work as she aims to create works that are socio-politically aware. Her curiosity and creativity is fuelled by her stamina and dedication to an intuitive and sensorial embodied practice. Kate is a nomadic subject currently residing in Berlin. Her state of origin and education is the Midwest region of the United States.
